Training
The Scales Mound Fire Protection District stations coordinate to conduct weekly training and communication for firefighters and officers. Additionally, Scales Mound Firefighters undergo training at the Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI), a part of the University of Illinois; these trainings take place at the IFSI training center in Champaign, Illinois or they may be hosted by other fire agencies throughout the state. Weekly and specialized training opportunities cover critical elements of the fire protection service from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to rescue and firefighting operations.
